I just wish I could use your tool which seems fantastic, but once a dev has reached 4.4 Gb, I realized it's too late for them to add your tool in the workflow, since Ren'Py does not even allow us to generate that APK file for your tool to compress it (maximum space allocated authorized).

But I've just made this conclusion a few moments after my previous post, so yeah, there's not much you can do.
I just wanted to make sure I wasn't mistaken.

I guess my last alternative is to hire a compressor so he can compress my images and videos, give them back to me and then I'll be able to build that APK.

Why don't you just compress your game beforehand and then use that has you base for Android? I mean I'm pretty sure that is what a lot of devs do, or just do where you have 2 parts, app and assests.

I don't think it's related to AMD or Defender, or anything in particular. As I have an intel chip and I have it from time to time. I asked Bob about this 6 months ago or so, he didn't have this issue, and believe he has AMD. As mine was where I couldn't even use my computer pretty much. It only started with a newish UAGC update.

Usually I force close, restart it or pause, then when it resumes it goes back to normal and seems like it's over whatever fit it was having.

Ok. Then i'm not alone with that behavior. I can still use the pc, but every application has then a laggy performance. Unluckely a force close not help very much. Something with cwebp it's triggering these behavior on my system, so i now using nconvert.

If I remember I will test it sometime later today, I think I'm going to post this last one and pass out.

BTW that registry fix for Unity still did not fix the popup about it not being registered and still throwing errors, I just remembered it about as I was doing one a couple of days ago. Not a big deal as I rarely mess with Unity.

Did u used Unity compressor and not repack maker right? And do u remember the game(s) where u used it?

Just the same behavior (and the compressions takes longer). I think we must search the difference between the System and Software we used i think.

Because I really don't have time to add that extra step in my workflow, I'm on a 8 to 10 hours on a day making the animations in my game.
There might not be that much difference when compressing imagess but we all saw the quality downgrade on my Discord after I've posted my original animation and the compressed one, so I was looking for a solution that does the compression only for the Android users.
Hence why I was looking after this tool, but I'll just end up hiring someone to compress the game for me.

I have tested it with the test UAGC version and a reverted cwebp. Still same behavior. I will test later or tomorrow to disable the Spectre and Meltdown migration and see if that help. Perhaps i will also checked it with an older Windows 10 version instead of Windows 11. The thing is my old 5900x have exact the same issue.

If all things aren't helping i will then use nconvert.

Unity, yeah it pops up about need interent, and to activate, I also get some other errors as well but can't remember (I think those were on other Unity games), and I think it was this: Agent of Heels: Misadventures of Agent Romanov [v0.27] [beWilder], as I've did it before as I have older ones posted.

You would only need to compress the full game once, then after that, just donor each version after which means it only compress's the new content. If you have update Only's, then you would only need to compress the update only and keep adding it to the previous compressed version.
