This is exactly why dev should never bend knee to harem seekers like you. You just take and take and take. You want to have MC who fucks everyone in NTS game.

What i was actually getting at is that this game has a range of interactions and some of them have MC actively participating in sex. I.e. not what you want.

I don’t want to argue, but even if we take the old Asian visual novels, they always had a choice, i.e. you didn’t just read, but made a choice. If anyone remembers, there were such game books on the pages of which there was a plot and after the plot you were asked to roll the dice and the value of the dice showed which page the reader should go to!
Kinetic novels are just stories in pictures and have nothing to do with games like comics and ect!

The terminology is perhaps misleading here. Kinetic novels are visual novels stripped from choices. It's equivalent of "Choose Your Own Adventure" books with the "Choose Your Own" part removed. This leaves you with just regular adventure book. And that's what "kinetic novels" are: novels with some spiffed-up visuals, maybe music etc.

It's not really a game in any sense, but then the fixation that the experience must be a game is rather pointless, imo.

Yeah, Kinetic Novels are seldom very engaging (unless the premise is on point), since I won't be able to avoid certain actions/events... and that's just not my jam. For example, I would like to have an option to have the MC remain pussy-free and let my GF do all the Netorasing she wants. And then, for the rest of you NTS folk, you can choose to have MC participate in the true spirit of NTS.

Also, is this game on a monthly release schedule? Most other AI-art games are, and for good reason, it shouldn't take as much time or resources to generate AI art, compared to genuine, hand-drawn art.

So far the updates have come a month apart, but I feel like there's a massive misconception people have about what actually takes the time when making an AI driven VN - at least one that is any good.

It's not the rendering. Once you know what you're doing and have a good GPU you can bust out hundreds of amazing renders in a couple weeks that isn't the issue. The issue is everything outside of the rendering. The image editing and quality control, the writing, the audio design, the proofreading and feedback.

The rendering is literally the easiest part of making an AI vn.

For now we are aiming at a Christmas~ release. But there's certainly no guarantees. Abyss doesn't do this full time, he has a job on top of this. And I also only help in my spare time. People need to be aware of the actual things that hold up production, it isn't rendering.

Because it's the easiest thing to do for a developer, you don't have to come up with any reasons for sex scenes, just all women are sluts by default and have sex because they're nymphos.

I mean there are certain things that have to be done so the game doesn't take 6 chapters of mostly pure exposition to get started. But r1k0, you certainly spend a lot of time in threads for games you mostly just disparage.

But yea, don't really disagree. At the same time a certain amount of plot convenience has to be used so people don't wait around eternally for anything to happen. In the future we might get the chance to explore more of why Kate/Sophie are the way they are though, who knows. Then again, a certain amount mysteriousness with some characters can sometimes be a good thing.

I think we can assume though that this is a slightly alternate reality, where sexual relations are a bit more loose than our norm. We still try to write something that makes sense within that framework, but the framework is not literally earth. If it was it'd be hard to create a NTS/corruption game in general.
