VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Game of Hearts [Ch.5 R2] [SparkHG]

This is up there as one of the best VNs out there. The sex is top notch, but what really sets it apart is the characters. Its rare that you get a game that really makes you connect with the characters, but Game of Hearts does exactly that.

Its a really good game. The emotion build up, the pace, everything just good. I never had this much emotion playing VN game like this. But this is one the best for sure.

The animation, the CG, the art, all pretty well done.

My wish just I hope this game is bit longer. I really enjoy the roller coaster of emotion, especially between Julia, meredith, and maxime. Its pretty well written.

Its a decent game tbh, I won't go much into detail since other reviews already did, just interesting story, decent dialogs, great renders and attractive women.

I would have like some variety in terms of sex though, there isn't a single anal scene here which feels like a crime with these characters.

Anyway, solid 4* game

Incredible in every possible way, top tier quality and the art is just precious. The choice and consequence makes it genuinely immersive and it just has a very nuanced feel to it, highly recommend.
Can't wait for season 2.

That is a good game. So much potential.
The visuals are good, the game looks and look pretty. UI is not great, but there's no obvious flaw to it.
The story is interesting, there is little to no non-sense. Some times it can a little too vanilla, but it is good regardless.
If I have to say, the main girl for this act (Meredith) ain't the most pretty out there, but the game introduces enough beautiful characters. I have to admit I thought Maxime looked too old in the beginning of the game (more gilf than milf) but as the game progressed I can say that I got accustomed to the characters and by the end of it, she was the real jewel of it.
I would definitely play a sequel if/when it gets one.

This is one of my favorite games, from the plot to the description of the character's psychology, the change of the wife...
The visuals and animation are well done. Looking forward to the next part of the story.

Brilliant. Simply brilliant.

Let's go step by step.

The graphics are stunning. The author has found the perfect balance between visual quality and game's files size. Considering the number of unique renders, I’m in awe.
It’s also impossible not to mention the excellent animations - both in the sex scenes and in the characters’ facial expressions.

The dialogues, script, and main story are top-tier. Each character is unique, and their differences don’t feel forced. On the contrary, every character feels alive and realistic. Conversations are engaging, and the characters' personalities only add to the intrigue.
Plot twists don’t feel artificial but rather logical and well-explained. I’ve often seen twists that are either too predictable or too abrupt, leaving me confused and full of unanswered questions. That’s not the case here. There’s still a sense of mystery, but I feel completely satisfied with the answers the game provides so far.

The erotic scenes are excellent. The flirting and dirty talk feel natural, as if spoken by real people rather than bad actors, which is often the case in many visual novels.
The scenes themselves are long enough to make the journey to them feel rewarding. In fact, there are so many that I sometimes found myself wanting to return to the main story sooner. But that’s not a flaw, if anything, its because of good intrigue.

The music is simple but well-chosen. It doesn’t distract from what’s happening on screen but complements the experience appropriately.

The gameplay is well-executed. Players have the freedom to roleplay their character. The mini-games during erotic scenes make the experience more interactive, requiring players to control their actions and intensity for the best outcome rather than just blindly pushing forward. And of course, the two possible paths: love and corruption/lust - add another layer of depth.

Overall, this is one of the highest-quality visual novels out there. The passion the author put into it is obvious. And despite some doubts they expressed at the end, they’ve created a fantastic game that lingers in the mind even after finishing it.

This game has everything you could dream of, especially as currently VNs with good writing, plot, renders and originality are often abandoned, or we have the bad copies of every popular game.

Can't wait for the sequel.

Honestly, what this developer did in the span of less than 2 years is incredible.

First of all, the graphics are among the best I have ever seen in western VNs, and deserve copious amounts of praise. They are full of both emotions and motions, with tremendous and varied character designs. And the characters themselves all feel real, with believable personalities and internal struggles.

The story is really good too, successfully mixing the supernatural with the human, and managing to stay interesting all the way. And there are some very well done plot twists to boot.

This game, which is basically Season 1 of the story, is now finished (a sequel continuing the story, named House of Hearts, will come soon), which makes this a great place to jump into the story, and I highly recommend that anyone interested in great adult games with actual writing for adults and quality graphics does so .

PS: If after playing the game you feel like supporting the developer that would be fantastic. Not only because he deserves it, but also because he hopes to be able to make this his full-time job soon, which will result in far faster releases with even more quality content for this great story .

Season 1 is great, now we're eagerly awaiting the next one.
The project is good, and it's all about staying the course and not getting sidetracked.
The girls are fantastic, and even though I have a soft spot for Julia (who is breathtaking), we can't help but become attached to the characters. Bravo and a wonderful discovery, 10/10

I was so immersed in the game that I would love to give it a 5⭐ and move on but as this is only season 1 and more to come, I want the dev to improve it a bit.

1. STORY(Perspective of a recent Literature graduate):
The story and plot is on another level. The plot is deep and the story is quiet engaging but there is a huge problem.
The story is incredibly slow paced. He is definitely not like the milking devs who gives nothing and make the game slow pace. The game is slow paced because of his decisions. The game is too much focused on sexual development and almost none to story progression. This must change if he wants to do the project solo but become successful.

2. Screenplay:
He gets full marks for the dialogues. He is too good even though there are some grammatical error. However I have some observations. The dialogues are not fit for a Visual Novel. The dialogues are too dragged on. I don't discourage him to exclude the way he does but rather want to say that he should only use those lengthy dialogues at the beginning of each character development, when the character is developed enough, I see no reason to waste time or bore the readers with it.

3. Intimacy:
He is good at making the moment intimate with words and action. This is great. I like how the name of MC is called out very often which is very crucial to stir up feelings inside someone. Almost all of the devs misses that.
The genius of this dev is that even though this game is more corruption focused, it is way more romantic than many romance focused VN out there.

Models:
The models are all great but too few variation TBH. Brie was kinda different but nothing happened there in first season and for second season it seems the dev is walking down almost the similar path. Focusing on different characters. I don't know the story but I can confidently say the VN needs more focus on Brie, Julie/Lillith or it is doomed to fail. By more focus I didn't mean just sex scenes but actual progression with the story and character development.

Conclusion/Pointers:
1. The dev must change his ways, he must focus more on story and less on sex.
2. Seeing his Patreon it feels like he might focus the second season on corruption too. It is definitely a bad idea.
3. Upcoming season should balance among the story progression, character development and power/follower gathering and don't make all the followers late 30s or early 40s Milf. It's boring to me even though I love Milfs. Ladies of late 20s are great too. Perfect balance between maturity and beauty.

SN: I feel too much "Timestamps: Unconditional Love" vive in this dev, I hope he can overcome that.

Great game, I really liked the character design and their animation. Maybe the story could use some polishing, but I find it very well-structured, and my favorite character was definitely Meredith—both her personality and her reactions. The dev did a great job crafting the characters.

GoH sets itself apart with unmatched expressions, nuanced dialogues, and a deep lore.

The "Supernatural" theme is embedded in a melancholic -and yet warm atmosphere that pierces its way in between very intense scenes.

Taking all the time it's needed, the build up is filled with anticipation carried by the best facial expressions I have seen in the genre so far. The author also doesn't shy away in displaying mastery on how to represent psychological conflicts in a visual manner, collapsing in a unique experience.

That said, needless to say this is not your typical "shiny" VN, but also not flawless IMHO as the scenes can get intimidating due to the visual cluttery of the HUD and its many status and bars. I would bet the scale of the main mechanic went a little out of hand and the many statuses either felt unnecessary or lacking in a more visual outcome.

The road is paved, hope for a smooth and successful ride in the future.

The only thing I want to say is that, if your projects are of this quality. I don't care if it take years or centuries for a game to finish. Take time and make amazing projects like this. The community needs dedication like this.

The best game in terms of the <Netori> genre and corruption with mixed romance!

High quality renders, slow and hot scenes with an intense fantasy storyline about a horny guy with the soul of a devil...
the game really makes you enjoy it as you go along, seducing beautiful girls and married womens!

If you want to dive into the world of fantasy debauchery, you will have fun and look forward to season 2!

Discovered this game just recently and It amazed me! Everything is soo well executed. If there is a good thing for not knowing this before is that I got the chance do play right trough end and without having to wait between releases.

Nevertheless, I leave my congratulations to the Dev to be able to finish of a game of this scope in just 2 years. Everything is so high quality, from the graphics to the sound.

It clearly shows the amount of care the dev dedicated to the project. I hope you can keep up this high standard for your next project and I'm already excited and eagerly awaiting for it.

this is a relatively short entry into what i believe will be one of the best games/series out there. great characters and wonderful visuals with an intriguing storyline. the grammar is sometimes a little wonky, but nothing so wild that it will be difficult to understand. cant wait to see where the developer goes from here.

I came for mature women, I stayed for the story.

There is no point in dragging the review, it is a great play, good adult content and an engaging story, I love the mature models and it intrigued me and made me not lose interest.

There are very few VN's that deliver for me, and this one delivered.

It does have a few mistakes here and there but they don't detract from the play or story.

I don't think I've ever reviewed a game, but I suppose I can't pass up the opportunity to give this game 5* in basically any category you can think of!

I have played many visual novels shared here, some good, some bad, some because of graphics, some because of boredom... You name it, I've tried it... But what sets this game apart, in my opinion, is that besides having great graphics and a great plot, the story telling is incredible, the dialogs and thoughts are amazing, almost as if you were watching a moving.
While I've seen many games with excellent graphics, none has left me wanting for more like Game of Hearts!
To some extent I'm sad to have found it so late, but on the other hand I'm really glad about it because it allowed me play the full game instead of going to sleep with the feeling of "wanting more". At least as far as this episode goes, because... I definitely wish House of Hearts was already out and completed!

I will be keeping an eye out, for sure!

@SparkHG I have no idea how complicated it is, but I know others have do it. I urge you to upload this game on Steam, because, just as me, I bet many other people are unable to keep up with a monthly fee but still want to support you!

Damn near perfect. Definitely deserves all the support. Models are beautiful and the sex scenes look amazing. Story is interesting as well. I highly recommend playing this game for the gameplay alone, reminds me of Chain of Pleasure (a great game but incomplete and abandon).
