I don't know what phone you have but in Samsung it is easy way to deal with that. You go to files, options, you turn on "show hidden system files", then you create a folder with dot as first sign (example: .test), and everything you put in there won't show in gallery, because it will be considered hidden.
Make an empty file and name it .nomedia, it'll automatically exclude all the files inside from the gallery, it has to be .nomedia, the file manager should hide the file automatically, so you might want to turn on show hidden files on your file browser
Another thing you can do which i used to do is to hide it rename it with a fullstop before its name ".flim13" this is what ur system uses to hide stuff , like cache and stuff
