My laptop with all my Being a DIK saves got bricked a few months ago. So I figured my wife ReallyNotTina and I would have to start over from the beginning—and she made me promise not to go through episode 11 without her. Fuck. But I love her, so I agreed.

Then last weekend she comes to me with “a surprise”—she tells me, “I’m not sure if you’re gonna be really happy, or really annoyed.” Turns out she put the game on her tablet—parts 1 and 2—and duplicated the Sage NEUTRAL run we did last year. All of it up to episode 11.

Wife. Which means we can start with episode 11. You don’t have to wait anymore!​

Me. What? When’d you do this?​

Wife. I started four weeks ago. I’ve been playing Being a DIK on the shitter. You thought I was reading, huh?​

Me. I didn’t hear the music.​

Wife. Had it on mute.​

Me. My sneaky girl.​

Wife. I knew episode 11 was coming, so I got us ready for it. Ready to play?​

Me. You duplicated the Sage run exactly? You remembered all the choices you made?​

Wife. Remembered most of them. I looked up your recaps on f95zone to make sure. I did change one, though; a big one. I didn’t punch Patrick.​

Me. You really wanted to punch him too. What brought that on?​

Wife. The Christmas party intro. With the knocked over table and the ominous guy at the locked door. It’s probably not Patrick with a bat, but just in case, best to not piss him off any more than he already is.​

Me. Probably a good choice.​

Wife. Violence is not always the answer, but like [the MC of that game] says in Hillside, sometimes violence is the answer. It’s definitely the fun answer. But not this time. So Trey [our name for the MC] just yells at him.​

Me. Probably the best choice is the non-violent confrontation, but that’s a CHICK choice, and not an option if you’ve kicked any ass in the game.​

Wife. Wait, so if I didn’t kick Tommy’s ass I could do the non-violent confrontation?​

Me. Or Troy’s ass, or Chad’s, or Caleb’s. Probably not Alex’s either.​

Wife. Nah, Tommy regularly needs his ass and balls kicked. No regrets.​

Me. Agreed.​

Wife. So? Happy or annoyed I played without you?​

Me. Why would I be annoyed? We get to play episode 11 tonight!​

Wife. And then fuck!​

Me. Oh well we always get to fuck.​

Wife. Yeah, but fuck like Trey and Sage. But not in the ass.​

Me. But then it’s not authentic.​

Wife. Authentic enough for me.​

Me. I thought I was gonna have to wait another two months at least.​

Wife. Well, fuck waiting. Let’s play!​

The HOTs should just have a say in it, they should be the only one who decide with whom THEY are partying in the future. What BS is this whole meeting? They way Dawe talks should be reason enough never to party with the tri-alphas ever again. He is talking about them like they are his property.

I just checked the confronting conversation and there is a variable check in there to change dialogue if you invited Tara, (so I'm assuming you can get the chick option without inviting her, otherwise why would that check even be there).

When you're a CHICK, you can always confront them, with or without Tara.
When you're NEUTRAL, inviting Tara is a requirement.
