It works, several people already confirmed it. Are you sure you are putting it in the right place? Also did you uncompress it?

Just changed this line on the script.rpy with Notepad and my modded save is already working for me:

What saves do I need for the episode to work, have since reset my PC since the last update and have no save files. I downloaded the Episode 11 start save files from this. Do I need the season 3 persistent as well?

I would recommend the season 3 persistent as well, yes.
