From a Q&A in 2024 (the most recent I could find):

"We are getting closer to the end as episodes start answering more questions than asking new ones. I believe my previous estimate was 15-17 episodes, and depending on how the episodes will be counted in the final season, I believe we're looking at something like 14-16 episodes total for the game. I know I need up until episode 14, for sure. At that point, it gets blurry, but I'm not stopping until the endings are what I want them to be. I don't want to rush the end of the game, but I don't intend to linger to extend it beyond what's needed."
But I also remember DPC stating that he thought all of season 1 would be in the first two episodes, this guy always undershoots his estimates, if he says 14-16 it means bare minimum at least 16.

Similar standards for the most popular games have been waiting for a year or more for an update. I really respect those who support these games financially. :KEK:

Refreshing my memory, preparing for the new episode and running the main brunches.
Here's the detail. MC prepared a romantic setting for his two girls, gave them his own room so they could have some fun... and left. Joshy! Why did you move into the canonical MC? F95 wasn't enough for you?

Right now it takes a year and a half to develop an episode. If we have 5 episodes left, and assuming the development period grows, the game won't be finished until 10 years from now.
I don't know how old he is, but a reasonable assumption is that he's about 50 years old. I highly doubt he'll have the energy for the game for another 10 years.
No matter how much he loves the game, he won't be able to maintain interest in it for the next 10 years.
Considering that the last episode made a big timeskip and this episode will not only affect New Year's vacation but apparently New Year's exams as well, there will be more timeskips in the future. Which means he plans to finish the game as soon as possible since he has accelerated the events in the game so much and some branches he closes very lazily( like Tybalt's branch in ep10).

And if he is 40? Yes, I agree 1,5 years for an episode is way too long, but luckily, I am no supporter, I get it for free. Only those can complain, who put their money in this, it is only logical. If you look at the AVN landscape it is really bad if we consider finished:unfinished ratio.

Apologies if this has been asked/answered before, but I just tried replaying the last bit of Chapter 9 to refresh my memory before Chapter 11 comes out, and this happened:
