It was a pleasant watch. I'm a sucker for cute animals too so I'll keep watching, especially with the contrast of them being in Hell. Nice art and music too, the OP :).
Everything seems fine with the series, except that invoked zero interest in me. The OP/ED are probably the most interesting so far, the character designs/VAs are a go, but somebody please tell me that it will go beyond the joke - "Oni!/I am oni!"
Well, that was interesting and oddly relaxing. I'm really not sure how it managed to keep my attention the entire time but I'll accept that and watch the next episode.
Insert philosophical quote or exceptional picture here.
I went into this without expecting much, but it was great!
I'm a little surprised by the number of negative reactions here, though. Perhaps this is too mundane and Japanese for the mal community? Whatever! I want more!
I was thinking the same thing, definitely has a Gintama vibe to it.
Where as I didn't get half of comedy, b/c it was pure Japanese, I still found it entertaining. I don't think I'll follow this one weekly, but it will definitely go onto my PTW list to watch at some point. I like to keep mellow, light comedy fare in the backlogs for when my life hits those super stressful points and I just need to wind down.
hahahaHAHAHAA idk was I the only one who loved the comedy?! XDDD omg I love how Momotaro's anger is old-fashioned omg I'M DEAD. And Hozuki is so lovable omg koalas <3 the whole Hell premise is really fresh to me too and the animation stunning, so I can't wait for the next episode :D
It's setting is quite new and the art is quite traditional which appeals to me.
It's also quite weird haha i like weird stuff.
But it felt abit lost and long like not sure where this is going. Will still watch it.
Was really looking forward to this, but this was so dam boring :(
I love the art, animation and the OST..but meh I don't usually drop with just 1 episode but rather overloaded this season :/
i love love love this, definitely not for everyone but i hope it will at least sell a decent BD number so they could make more of a show like this.
I love the art, i love the humor, i love the setting and the dialogue, everything, WIT studio could be my new favorite studio, they definitely has a great taste for a source to adapt, first SnK and now this. HELLYEAH!!!
Hoozuki is so adorable and sexy, i want him to be my hell boyfriend <3
man ! so this is hell huh Awesome
I'm really liked it.
'"Hearts, you say? You Humans are always so quick to speak of such things. As though you carry your hearts in the very palms of your hands. But this eye of mine perceives all. There is nothing that it overlooks. If this eye cannot see a thing, then it does not exist. That is the assumption under which I have always fought. What is this "heart"? If I tear open that chest of yours, will I see it there? If I smash open that skull of yours, will I see it there?4th Espada
Not the same kind of humour as Gintama, but definitely has the same vibe.
I mean, after pulling through with the Hitachi World Discoveries Show thing, it went one step further to parody the whole Hitachi Tree CMs in the ED - tune, camera angles and all. This is the same kind of bravery and spirit the Gintama staff had. And who knows how many jokes we non-Japanese folks might have missed in this episode.
(And also, the MC has a deeper voice than you'd expected at first XD)
Will be watching the second episode tomorrow and looking forward to it.
Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances.
He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter.
Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga.
Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month.
Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel.
The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck.
I wonder how MAL says this is "dark comedy" where I didn't noticed some of the scenes that is comedy except the animals got defeated by Hoozuki saying about their pasts including the man with pink lips.(which is odd to look at.)
The ost is actually pretty good. Loving the hip hop beat at where Hoozuki (I think that's his name) was planting the fish and that one song was good, but I forgot what it was. Opening was okay, but it reminds me of Okami with so much great animation and the white hair kid looks like the main character from Gintama which it was quite interesting.
They really love this Australian tv show they watching.....
Hope I will see some more comedy in the next episode.
It is tediously absurd! XD
Graphically it can satisfy the choices and glimpsed on the characters that gradually will be "rolled out", but below the level of attention, and the story I was tempted more than once to stop watching. I held out till the end! X ° ° D
Animations and good designs, I look forward the next episodes to make me a general framework.
Momentary rating of 6/10!
Wow I'm liking this more than I thought i would~ Really good animation, and the style is like Gintama (which I happen to love)
and it's hilarious lol!
Is it just me or I see Gintama references? One of the characters looks like smalll Gin and the dog reminded me of sadaharu.... maybe it's just me >___<
I hope the next future episodes would be as amazing or even more so!!
I was expecting this Anime to be crazy and lively because of the colors and the characters, but this episode was boring to me.
Let's see how it goes. That plant goldfish, though ahahaha.
I admit..... some of the humour i didn't get, but there seems to be a sense of more maturity with this show, not your generic / cliche comedy gags..... think i'm gunna stick with this!
