| i think its a complete waste of time id rather share my life with my friends via direct contacts through words,voice and photos that i entrust them with but if you made an instagram account for something thats communal, say for a club, for a school's project, for your youtube channel, i think its totally wholesome and beneficial |

| Yup, I use it too much actually. I gotta meme account a main and a spam. Like most social media it is a great app if you follow the right people. I've Made a couple friends on it. My main account kind of turned into my spam account though lol and have been borderline shitposting on it hehe, and as for your case OP I think it's a lot more fun that way not really caring about what others think, unless your mom and grandma follow you on instagram. Before you post a pic, look at ur followers and see if you are willing to let all of your followers see the picture. If you find some people you aren't comfortable with, delete them rather than not posting the pic. Let the app tailor itself to you don't tailor yourself around the app. |

| as i mentioned in an earlier post for this thread, i made an instagram a while ago posting nice pictures of places i've been with the dog. however i just started getting lots of random follows from 'models' and weird folks who sent me odd personal messages. a lot of them were bots or scammers. ended up making my profile private as it seems to attract a lot less of it. |

| Have one use it to post whatever i feel like really. A breathtaking scene, a moment which i'm having fun, an awsome cocktail/food, a new tattoo anything really. A good smartphone is actually enough for some great pictures. Lighting and angle is much more imp. Just post what you enjoy and have fun with it XD |

| I don't have an account, but people keep telling me to make one. Actually, I told someone I'd make one on Tuesday when I went and totally didn't. I went to a witch gathering instead-- like look I have stuff to do.;; I'm thinking of making one, but I feel like I'll never use it. I'm not really one for taking pictures. When I do, I take pictures of things for drawing reference. And then I do draw, but I hardly upload my work anywhere anymore.;; I dunno, there just seems like there'd be no point to having an Instagram. BUT I just feel not very hip by not having one. Hell, my mom has one. And there are a bunch of things where it's like, "You need to post this on your Instagram to win a prize". I like prizes-- actually, that's pretty much the only reason why I use my Twitter account. I just use it to get free stuff. It mostly remains untouched otherwise. There are sometimes brief moments when I post like art, but from 2011 to now, I've made only 24 posts-- most of them just to get free stuff at cons. My Facebook account is also pretty neglected. I use it way more than my Twitter account, but I actually avoid it a lot. I have messages sitting there unanswered from months ago. Maybe even a year ago. I feel like if I made an Instagram, it would just end up like my Twitter account. A waste of time and full of hashtags for the sake of getting free promotional material.;; My most used social media accounts are like... MAL and Neopets. EDIT: Ew. I made an account. I have a feeling it's just going to sit there. |

| insta is stressful its the platform i use to go ahead and connect with colleagues (among friends and family too), so i post stuff that sate their curiosity of my life, if any. or to show off aspects of myself i would want them to see of me (hobbies and art usually). so when i am thinking about what to add every month or so, i get nervous about who from where will see and what will they think. its pretty gross lol |

| I’ve had a couple instagram art accounts over the years LOL but this one account played a huge part of my life during my 2014, 2015 years. It’s kind of silly and weird when I think back on it now, especially since my content was cringe and super bad aaa. Anyways, it started off as a place where I posted my art, but it got to the point where I was addicted to gaining followers and likes. I began drawing for the fame rather than for my own enjoyment which placed a lot of stress and pressure but at that time, it was also the only thing that gave me a reason to feel like I had some kind of “worth”. Though, I left that account in the dust when major problems came up and I’ll probably never will want to return to it but currently, I only use one private account as a digital photo album and for pictures of my dog |

| I have an Insta. Out of all the popular social media outlets, I think it's the best one. I had a Facebook account for years but the rampant hacking and the unfair banning turned me away for good. Also, the site's predatory practices on random accounts didn't help matters much, either. I considered having a Twitter account but was discouraged by its extremely toxic environment. I don't use my Instagram account very often. Every once in a while, I'll post a random picture before typing a brief and (somewhat) witty caption under it. It's not much but I feel like I'm doing something that separates me from the run-of-the-mill content that you scroll by on your timeline. |

There's an abundance of entertainment nowadays, why would I spend hours staring at photos when I can play a game, read a book, watch an anime/tv series instead. |

| It's just Facebook with less functionality, only reason everybody shifted to it was because Facebook became too mainstream (everybody's parents started getting on it) plus the photo / video filters. I always found it kind of silly. None the less I had to create one (never actually use it) since some of my subscribers want to reach out to me through it plus I need it to occasionally reach out to artists on there. |
