Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience with product operations and product launch readiness.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and product teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience navigating organizational boundaries and fostering collaboration to achieve shared goals is desired.
  • Experience gathering and analyzing data to identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions to inform decision-making.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects to successfully manage projects involving multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholders with varying priorities and perspectives.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive programs to implement customized anti-abuse strategies with product teams/engineering teams.
  • Support PAs in the integration of products into existing protection platforms and prioritize a growing list of new tools requirements.
  • Own and optimize processes to enable policy enforcement at a massive scale.
  • Lead large, cross-product initiatives focused on user safety.
  • Provide program management of business excellence efforts across Search, Gemini and Maps (OKR management, business planning, etc).
